Songwriter and storyteller Christel Alexander recalls growing up in Berlin, Germany in the 1940s with her own original English-lyric songs and popular music of the time (Gassenhauer and Schlager in Germany) by Kurt Weill, Paul Lincke, and Walter Kollo, among others. Accompanied by her Ovation Award-winning Musical Director Todd Schroeder, the show has been performed in such venues as Tom Rolla's Gardenia in Hollywood and the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert, Ca.
